INTRODUCTION

The Rentar Fuel Catalyst is available for fuel-oil fired burner applications. Burner manufacturer’s representatives, boiler maintenance companies and boiler manufacturers now have a tool to retain customers and help them save money.

Oil delivery companies now have a tool to sign up clients for long-term contract by supplying the Rentar Fuel Catalyst as a reward. Clients save fuel in the short-run, more oil is delivered over the long-term by reducing churn to natural gas.

VIRGINIA TECH UNIVERSITY FURNACE PERFORMANCE STUDY

Virginia Tech University publishes study for the State of Delaware reporting the effects the Rentar Fuel Catalyst had on commercial boilers.  The study, conducted at the Everett Meredith Middle School, was paid for by the Delaware Department of Agriculture, the Delaware Soybean Board, the Delaware Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Control (DNREC) and the Appoquinimink School District.

RESULTS – Fuel Consumption  (exact quotes from report - see Page 7)

The Rentar Catalyst DECREASED the number 2 fuel oil use by 7.6 PERCENT with greater than 99% confidence.”

RESULTS – NOx (Nitrogen Oxides)  (exact quotes from report - see Page 8)

Using number 2 diesel fuel as a baseline and number 2 diesel fuel with a Rentar Fuel Catalyst installed the following

result was published: “The NOx concentration showed a REDUCTION OF 13 PERCENT using the Rentar Fuel Catalyst.”

RESULTS – C02 (Carbon Dioxide)

CO2 is reduced as a direct correlation of fuel consumption reduction.  For every 100 gallons of number 2 diesel fuel which

is not consumed, 1 metric ton of CO2 is not released in the atmosphere.

OTHER RESULTS – Change in Emissions When Firing Number 2 oil with and without the Rentar Catalyst.   (See page 8 and 9)

ACTUAL RESULTS

The report below is based on data provided by a company that operates and manage large real estate properties.   Net Degree Day Savings comparisons were added as a good indication of truer fuel saving numbers after three months. Where measured, emission reduction is specified.  Most of the burners used in the report are forced draft fuel burners made by Industrial Combustion series M.
